Copernica is a student organization for the students at the Medical School of English at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The student organization has two primary objectives, to engage in national and international charity projects and to serve to strengthen and enrich student life at the university. The ideology of the foundation is to bring the students together through academics, sports and social events, and to stride towards implementing various aid projects as a unity.
…It is our goal to be a part of what makes Kraków the best place to study medicine…
Copernica serves as an umbrella organization where all students initiatives can be embodied, but the organization has various primary activities where its’ focus lies. The main areas of focus include production and distribution of school sweaters, yearly publishing of a school yearbook and the hosting of various social events. The organization will also arrange various sporting arrangements through the year and try to strengthen the school academically.
Being a non-profit charity organization, Copernica will use the income earned from its’ various activities to accomplish small scale aid projects that invest in the future and reflect our values as future doctors. Medicine will naturally be a main field of interest in choosing projects, but we will also try to engage in education as we would like to give others the same chances that we have been given.
